#BettyPH disrupts power around Baguio City

Successive power interruption in Baguio City continues due to Typhoon Betty, May 30.

In the announcements released by the Benguet Electric Cooperative (BENECO), different areas in the city are currently experiencing unscheduled power outages due to electric line problems.

BENECO is yet to determine the specifics of interruptions, however, areas are now subject for line inspections.

Unscheduled brownout within Baguio City was reported since yesterday, May 29, due to strong winds and heavy rainfalls caused by typhoon #BettyPH.


Here’s the list of areas affected by the power interruption:


Since 5:06 am:

Parts of Sto. Tomas School Area and Parts of Dontogan


Since 6:13 am:

Parts of Bakakeng Central


Since 8:50 am:

Parts of Lower Magsaysay


Since 11:00 am:

Asin, Irisan, San Luis VIllage, Parts of San Roque Village, Parts of Victoria Village, Parts of Middle Quezon HIll, Bakakeng Central, and Parts of Suello Village


Since 12:27 pm:

Parts of Quezon Hill


Since 1:37 pm:

DPS Compound, Marcoville, Greenwater Village, Military Cut-Off, Sta. Scholastica Village, Upper Dagsian, Lower Dagsian, Gabriela Silang, Camp 9, Poliwes, San Vicente, Camp 7, and parts of Bakakeng Norte and Bakakeng Sur.


Since 1:44 pm:

Parts of Dominican Hill-Mirador


Since 2:18 pm:

Parts of Camp Allen


Since 2:21 pm:

Outlook Drive, South Drive, COuntry Club VIllage, Happy Hallow, Apugan-Loakan, Scout Barrio, Loakan Proper, Liwanag-Loakan, Atok Train, and Camp 7


Since 2:49 pm:

Upper Session Road, Phil-Am Compound, BGH Compound, and parts of Gov. Pack Road
