The University of the Philippines Baguio University Student Council (UPB USC) announced the return of their on-ground project, Kapihan sa UPB, that will run starting June 5 to June 9, 2023 from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm in Sarmiento Hall, UPB.
#KapihanSaUPB aims to provide additional learning spaces for students to review and to finish requirements as the semester's final examination comes close.
According to the UPB USC Basic Student Services councilor Cathleen De Guzman shares their reasons why they launched Kapihan.
UPB USC encourage students to bring their own containers as the #KapihanSaUPB offers free and unlimited coffee.
This initiative was sponsored by Sigma Kappa Pi Fraternity - Sigma Delta Pi Sorority. “Both the Sigma Kappa Pi Fraternity and Sigma Delta Pi Sorority believes in nationalism and service. As such, understanding that the University Student Council is conducting events to serve the interest of the studentry, our frat-soro has sponsored numerous of its project including the kapihan. Going back to two of our aims in our frat-soro, the Kapihan project will serve our scholars, which is then another form of nationalism as we support the development and growth of the future of our nation. The Sigma Kappa Pi Fraternity and Sigma Delta Pi Sorority will always carry these aims when it comes to its projects and the project it supports, ” said Fredrick Bermudez, Sigma Kappa Pi member.
Registration will be available at the venue.
